The Alameda County Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is hiring for two temporary Housing and Community Development Specialist I/II positions, with the possibility of extension.
These roles offer a chance to work at the frontlines of the Bay Area’s housing affordability and housing cost crisis. One position supports our Programs and Policies team, focused on program evaluation, policy development, and program coordination, including work on SHIFT, our missing middle infill financing initiative. The other supports our Federal Programs team, focused on inter-municipal coordination, federal compliance, program management, and procurement across our CDBG, HOME, and HOPWA programs.
We are looking for strong writers, analytical thinkers, and project managers who are excited to advance equitable housing and community development outcomes.
